How many of us still have a real job, the job that pays for all our dreams and goals.
Well I'm no exception.
As a part of the Mid North Coast Financial Counselling Service I have the wonderful pleasure of working in Macksville, NSW, two days per week.
The Nambucca Valley is just beautiful, sparking rivers, and stunning hinterland. The 2019 bushfires have taken their toll, but the regrowth is amazing in the South Arm area.
Financial Counselling has been my occupation for the last 11 years. Its a position, that has brought me to tears, and shouts of joy, when a plan comes together.
This is a free service, funded by State and Federal government to help people that are at the end of their financial tether.
I give can give:

- financial options
- budgeting
- support and advocacy
- an open ear to listen
- referrals to other services
Just thought you might like to know a bit of what makes me tick. Helping others is high on that list.
Enough of the real world.
Just as high is telling everyone what is happening in the Writing World.
The highlight of my writing year is always the Byron Bay Writers Festival. A fabulous festival of workshops and guest speakers. A time for bonding with my writing buddies.
Not this year of course, Byron was cancelled, and I know I'm not the only one that was left bereft, and sobbing into their wine glass.
The online courses, and festivals (those who could adapt) have become very popular this years.
